December has brought us some pretty epic celestial events - most notably the cosmic miracle known as the Christmas Star - but there's one more sight you'll want to catch before you say goodbye to 2020. December's Full Cold Moon is rising on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 29, and it's going to be pretty special. While the moon will reach peak illumination at 10:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, you should start to see it just before sunset, according to The Old Farmer's Almanac. If you're wondering exactly when it'll show up in your area, check out the almanac's moonrise calculator for a specific timing. Make sure you're on the lookout on Dec. 29, and get ready to admire the final full moon of the year.
